Neil Nanpeng Shen has served as our director since December 2004. Mr. Shen is president and chief financial officer of Ctrip.com International, or Ctrip, a company he co-founded and for which he has served as an executive director since its inception in 2000. Prior to founding Ctrip, Mr. Shen worked for more than eight years in the investment banking industry in New York and Hong Kong. He was a director and Head of Global Markets for China at Deutsche Bank from 1996 to 1999. Prior to 1996, he worked at Chemical Bank, Lehman Brothers and Citibank in various investment banking positions. Mr. Shen is also co-founder and deputy chairman of Home Inns & Hotels Management (Hong Kong) Limited. Mr. Shen received his Master’s degree from the School of Management at Yale University and his Bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University. |
