Based in London since 1999, Neal McKnight s practice encompasses a broad range of corporate and financial matters in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and cross-border transactions into and from the United States. His primary areas of practice include: Capital Markets Leveraged Finance Mergers & Acquisitions Project Development and Finance Mr. McKnight has extensive capital markets and leveraged finance experience based on his involvement in a numerous significant equity and debt capital markets transactions. His securities experience includes private placements of equity and debt under Rule 144A/Regulation S, high yield debt, leveraged acquisitions, recapitalizations, offerings of closed ended investment funds, transactions registered with the SEC, privatizations, project bonds, Eurobonds and structured financings. Mr. McKnight has advised principals in a number of European M&A transactions involving the oil and gas, petrochemicals, broadcasting, technology, pharmaceuticals, real estate and other sectors. He also has significant joint venture structuring experience. In the area of project development and finance, his work has focused largely on the representation of sponsors of natural resources and infrastructure projects. He has acted for sponsors seeking financing from commercial banks and capital markets investors, as well as agency lenders. Major business and legal publications have recognized the complex, precedent-setting transactions on which Mr. McKnight has advised as deals of the year in each of the past eight years.
