Mr. Roach is a member of the Health and Life Sciences, Intellectual Property and Business Practice Groups. He focuses his practice in the areas of business transactions (particularly intellectual property transactions), corporate compliance, and healthcare and life sciences law. Prior to joining Sommer Barnard, Mr. Roach was employed by Roche Diagnostics, which is part of the Roche Group, one of the world’s leading innovation-driven healthcare groups, and the world leader in in-vitro diagnostics. During his fourteen years at Roche, Mr. Roach held several legal and business positions. He served as Head of Global Licensing, heading a transnational organization with responsibility for the global intellectual property asset management strategy of Roche Diagnostics. He also served as Vice President of Ethics and Compliance, with overall responsibility for the company’s corporate compliance program. Mr. Roach joined Sommer Barnard in February, 2006.
