Mr. Navendu Vasavada holds a PhD in Finance from The Wharton School, and a concurrent MSE in Computer Science from the Engineering school of the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a PGDBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, India. Mr. Vasavada has held academic faculty appointments at Pennsylvania State University and Wharton, and has pursued a career as an investment manager in equities and fixed income with the investment group at Aetna Inc. for more than a decade. Earlier, he acquired five years of public and private sector experience, at India s Planning Commission in New Delhi (where he appraised public sector investment proposals) and then at Novartis in Mumbai (where he managed budgets and corporate plans). Mr. Vasavada is Managing Director of Lumin Asset Management, which he co-founded in 1998 to manage global equity portfolios. He has been a member of the Board of Comit Systems since February 2000. |
