He has over 18 years of experience in high growth technology and services sectors including Cross-Border Team Building & Management, Operations, Business/Product Development, Mergers and Acquisitions, Turnarounds, Startup Strategic Advisory Services and Strategic Planning and Negotiation Skills.
Naveen is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Luxmi Ventures, LLC a seed stage angel fund, to focus on networking, internet, software and services market. Some of the successful exits from this fund have included Netscaler Inc (acquired by Citrix Systems, NASDAQ: CTXS), Speedera Networks (acquired by Akamai Technologies, NASDAQ: AKAM), Paxonet Communications (Conexant, NASDAQ: CNXT), and Valicert (Tumbleweed Communications, NASDAQ: TMWD. He is also an advisor to several startup companies including Kirusa, Inc. a mobile application company.
Most recently, he was Founder, President & CEO, of Nayna Networks, Inc. a networking solutions and
services company, where he was responsible for the overall strategic direction and general management of the company. At Nayna, Naveen raised over $80 Million dollars from VC and PIPE Funds and completed five strategic acquisitions of technology and Services Company for Nayna in addition to completing a reverse merger of Nayna into a public company.
Prior to this, he founded Ukiah Software, Inc. a leader in policy-based bandwidth and security management software systems for service provider and enterprise networks. He served as its President and CEO since its inception till its acquisition by Novell, Inc. in 1999. Ukiah received a number of awards including Top 10 companies to watch in 1999 by Network World and Top 25 Hot Startups of 1998 by Data Communications Magazine, 1999 and 1998 Hot Product Awards by Data Communications Magazine, 1999 Product of the Month Award by Telecommunications Magazine and
Network World’s Blue Ribbon Award. Previously, he was Founder and President of NeoGlobal, Inc, a Software Consulting Services company focused on internet, enterprise software and networking market.
He holds MS from Texas Tech University, MS and BSME from Birla Institute of Technology & Science. He also attended Ph.D. program at University of California, Santa Barbara and holds several patents in the area of Quality of Service and security management in IP Networks. He has published a number of papers on the trends and issues in networking industry and is a member of The Indus Entreprenuers a global non-profit organization focused on entrepreneurs. |
