Dr. Every, a cardiologist who has been with Frazier Healthcare Ventures since 1999, was named a General Partner in 2005. He founded MacuSight, an ocular disease therapy company that was incubated at Frazier Healthcare, and was integral to the formation of Synecor, a first-of-its-kind accelerator company backed by researchers, corporations, clinicians and a leading investment bank. Dr. Every currently serves on the board of directors at Apneon, Inc., BaroSense, Inc., BÂRRX Medical, Inc., FlowCardia, Inc., InnerPulse, Inc., Juniper, Inc., PowerVision, Inc., Synecor LLC, and Xoft, Inc. He is also an observer on the board of Alexza Pharmaceuticals.Prior to joining Frazier Healthcare, Dr. Every was an associate professor of medicine and the director of the Cardiovascular Outcomes Research Center (CORC) at the University of Washington, where he performed multiple studies evaluating the costs and outcomes of new procedures and pharmaceutical agents. Dr. Every earned an M.D. from Emory University School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree from the University of Washington School of Public Health, and he is board certified in both internal and cardiovascular medicine. |
