Naresh Ajwani joined Sify in May 1999 as Head Internet Advertising. He has more than 24 years of operational experience in diverse functions including Sales, Marketing, Human Resources and Corporate Affairs. As part of Sify’s Consumer division he pioneered new approaches to rapidly expand the number of iWay cyber cafes and Cable Television Partners for the broadband to home service.
Now as the President, Infrastructure and Access Management, he heads both the iWay chain of cyber cafes and home broadband services. He currently manages a highly motivated and qualified team of technical, sales, customer support and back office staff for the delivery of quality services in a challenging and competitive environment.
Naresh also facilitates regular interactions with the Government, as well as advocacy with political leaders on issues other than routine filings. He has been one of Sify’s key representatives at the Ministry of Communication & IT, DoT, WPC and TRAI, dealing with regulatory and compliance requirements typical of a regulated industry service. He is also an Executive member of ISPAI.
During his career, he has had experience in Sales and Marketing with Blue Star Ltd., Network Ltd., UDI Yellow Pages, Sterling Computers, Sterling Cellular Ltd. and Mitsubishi Mobile Phones (HAT Group). Prior to his current assignment he has worked in Sify’s other businesses including the Portals and Enterprise divisions.
Naresh is a Post Graduate in Public Administration from University of Rajasthan, and has done the Business Leadership Programme from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata, India.
