Mr. Gupta became a director and Vice Chairman of Wind River in February 2000 in connection with Wind River’s acquisition of Integrated Systems, Inc. Dr. Gupta was a founder, Chairman of the Board, and Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Systems, Inc. (established in 1980), and he also served as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Wind River from June 2003 to January 2004. Dr. Gupta currently serves as a director of Red Hat, Inc., an open-source solutions software company; TIBCO Software Inc., a business integration and process management software company; and several privately held companies and nonprofit organizations. Dr. Gupta holds a B.Tech in engineering from the India Institute of Technology, an MS in engineering from the California Institute of Technology, and a PhD in engineering from Stanford University. He was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 1991. |
