Nancy Tellem was promoted to the newly created position of President, CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group in September 2004. She reports directly to Leslie Moonves, President and Chief Executive Officer, CBS Corporation. In this position, Tellem is responsible for all operations at CBS Entertainment and CBS Paramount Network Television, including development, programming, production, legal and business affairs. She is also spearheading the company's efforts to expand its content into new media and across all emerging platforms, including the development and production of original content for CBS.com, wireless, the company's broadband channel innertube and other new services. Recently, Tellem has overseen CBS's entry into the wireless arena, securing licensing agreements with Amp'd Mobile and Verizon's V-Cast service, and launched the first effort by a major broadcaster to offer subscription-based wireless alerts for breaking news and entertainment information. |
