Nam joined iSuppli in June 2001 as its first memory analyst. With his unique quantitative and technical research methodology, Nam led iSuppli’s memory team to become one of the highest respected research groups in the industry. Nam has received broad recognition for his market insight and analysis and is considered to be the leading expert in the semiconductor industry. Nam is regularly quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Financial Times, EE Times and BusinessWeek. Additionally, Nam provides advisory services to global OEMs, semiconductor suppliers and financial institutions.
Prior to joining iSuppli, Nam was a project manager at iVentureLab.com, a leading Internet technology incubator in Pennsylvania, where he developed business plans and operating models for emerging growth companies. Before that, Nam was a product engineer in technical marketing and sales at Hynix Semiconductor and served as logistics manager for the IBM and Sun Microsystems Worldwide accounts, where he formulated new pricing strategy through demand, supply and capital spending analysis. He also led chip module outsourcing and local warehouse project for JIT engagement with clients.
Nam earned his MBA majoring in finance, supply chain management and information technology at Carnegie Mellon University.
