Mr. Allana has twenty years cross-industry experience with significant expertise in finance, accounting, operations, strategy, and information systems. He served in management capacities with both PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte & Touche, involved with implementing operational and financial systems and process improvements in multiple industries for both Fortune 500 and mid-size entrepreneurial clients- including several e-business initiatives. He led the e-Marketplace and e-Enablement consulting practice for the Pacific Southwest region of Deloitte & Touche Management Solutions, and the Los Angeles Business Journal had named him as one of the top twenty people in Los Angeles in leveraging the use of the Internet. He was most recently the CFO/COO at Alterna, Inc., a high-end line of hair care products, where he was instrumental in turning around the company from 7 years of losses to its first ever quarterly profit, and its subsequent sale to a private equity firm. In addition, as program manager for Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), a $2 billion provider of IBM compatible mainframe and superserver products, he headed up a team that helped the company save $30 million annually in overall costs. He also was responsible for developing HDS' Intranet based corporate knowledge base. He currently is a partner with AMD Associates, LLC, a management consulting/temporary-staffing firm where his clients include Countrywide Home Loans, Gateway Computers, Health Net, the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power and Medtronic. Mr. Allana holds an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Accountant. |
