Myron C. Warshauer has been active with Standard Parking since 1963 and is the third generation of his family in the parking business. Mr. Warshauer was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 1973, and served in that position until 1998 when he was appointed Director and Chief Executive Officer. While no longer technically an employee, he has served as vice chairman emeritus in a consulting capacity continuously since October, 2001.
Several of Mr. Warshauer's parking-related articles have been published, and he has served as editorial consultant to the Urban Land Institute and the National Parking Association. Mr. Warshauer was a speaker at the Northwestern University Traffic Institute Symposium Parking in a Changing World, has addressed numerous National Parking Association conventions with respect to a variety of topics, has testified before a U.S. Senate Subcommittee on parking, and has addressed the European Parking Congress in Amsterdam with respect to the company's Ambiance in Parking® philosophy. He has addressed The Entrepreneurship Institute - President's Symposium on Building a Dynamic Management Team, and the Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management on The Diversity Advantage in Education."
Mr. Warshauer has received the "Award for Excellence in Parking Program Innovation" from the Institutional and Municipal Parking Congress (IMPC) and the Development of the Year Award from the Chicago Sun Times. Parking facilities with which Mr. Warshauer is associated have won awards from the IMPC for design excellence eight times since 1985. In 1995, Mr. Warshauer received the City of Hope's prestigious Spirit of Life award, and in 2000 received the Human Rights Medallion Award from the American Jewish Committee. Mr. Warshauer received his M.B.A. degree from Northwestern University in 1963, and his B.A. degree from the University of Illinois in 1962.
