Clinical director for a five-physician, Yale University affiliated, Ear, Nose and Throat practice. I was recruited to this position based on my presence in the community and my demonstrated ability to administer a private audiology practice. Prior to my joining this group, audiology services were not available. Since joining the group, the practice has shown a steady increase in volume and an additional physician, and 3 additional audiologists were added. I continue to carry a full caseload, maintain the Cochlear Implant program and manage the administrative responsibilities related to the audiology section of this practice. The implant program currently services both pediatric and adult patients. Served as principal investigator in numerous clinical trials, most recently, "post Market analysis of Clarion HiResolution software", 11/01/02 through the present time.

Through this office I have helped establish some community service programs and have the opportunity and ability to see a unique group of cochlear implant and the difficult to test patients that this office serves. Services currently being delivered include routine comprehensive evaluations, Evoked Potential testing (BSER) and pre/post cochlear implant management and counseling. Populations served include newborns through geriatrics.

Responsibilities included administration and development of the VA and Yale University cochlear implant programs. Patient selection and overall case management was ensured. The challenge of this position was to develop the implant program into a viable clinical program, moving it out of the research realm. This program was included in the FDA Clinical Trials of Advanced Bionics Clarion Device. Other responsibilities included training of Master's level and Doctoral candidates in all aspect of audiology including cerumen management, and clinical training of Otolaryngology and Primary Care physicians. Multiple Clinical fellows and graduate student supervision was included in this position. While employed at this facility my performance was rated as "outstanding" and I received a one-grade promotion and a bonus each year.
