AREAS OF PRACTICE Bankruptcy, Reorganization and Creditor’s Rights Corporate Transactions Real Estate Since graduating from law school in 2005, Mugdha has gained a great deal of experience in representing major public entities and private businesses in bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy matters. In early 2007, Mugdha successfully second-chaired as Plaintiff’s counsel in a trial on an exception to the Defendant-Debtor’s discharge in his bankruptcy. As a representative of the Chapter 11 Trustee in the bankruptcy of a technology company, Mugdha aided the negotiation of the multi-million dollar sale of multiple patents. She has represented, among others, a major international airport, an international commercial real estate company, a local non-profit lender, and a single asset real estate company in bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy matters. Mugdha has gained substantial experience in cases involving preferences, business torts, fraud, mechanic’s liens, and corporate and partnership law. While at William and Mary Law School, Mugdha received a Graduate Research Fellowship and was a member of the William and Mary Journal of Women and the Law. Outside of her legal practice, Mugdha is involved in promoting adult literacy and in supporting leukemia research. Negotiated multi-million dollar sale of patents of bankruptcy estate. Settled preference action for international commercial real estate company.
