Mitchell N. Schear is President - Charles E. Smith Commercial Realty of Vornado Realty Trust. He has overall responsibility for the performance and growth of one of the largest commercial real estate portfolios in the Washington, DC region.
Prior to joining Smith in April 2003, Mr. Schear spent 15 years at The Kaempfer Company, where, as President, he oversaw all of the company's development, leasing, and management activities. Signature projects included 1700 K Street, the Bowen Building at 15th and I Streets, and the Investment Building at 1501 K Street. Prior to his tenure at Kaempfer, Mr. Schear was head of the commercial leasing division of Blake Construction Company.
Mr. Schear is a graduate of Hobart College and received his MBA from The George Washington University. He is an active member of several boards on behalf of the real estate industry and the community. His board memberships include the Board of the Washington Convention Center Authority, the Board of the Anacostia Waterfront Corporation, the Board of the Economic Club of Washington DC, and the Cultural Development Corporation. He is past chair of the Board of the Lowell School. In addition, he is a member of the Federal City Council, the Urban Land Institute, and AFIRE. |
