Mr. Hartman has managed drawbridge operations for the state of Florida during the past eight years for C&S. He has a very keen understanding of bascule bridges and an outstanding knowledge of what is needed to keep the bridges safe for the motoring public and watercraft. Mr. Hartman is experienced as both user and provider of the services required and has the knowledge and experience that the position requires. Mr. Hartman organizes C&S bridge operation activities and provides general direction to the bridge tender supervisors on the basis of frequent conferences and regular on-site visits. He also routinely visits each drawbridge under contract to ensure excellent quality control and he maintains close contact with the various area managers. Mr. Hartman was an active participant in the Heavy Movable Structures, Inc.’s Eighth Biennial Movable Bridge Symposium. The symposium provided Mr. Hartman with an increased awareness of issues of the environment (such as air and water quality) and bridge operations. Mr. Hartman is a valued employee of C&S and works hand-in-hand with our CEO, Tom Sperring. |
