Mr. Murphy is the Director of Government Solutions for First Industrial Realty Trust’s Development Division. His responsibilities include marketing program management and business development to Federal and Department of Defense agencies worldwide. Mr. Murphy has over 21 years of land and facility development planning and design experience for corporate and government clients. Prior to joining First Industrial Mr. Murphy was the Federal Planning Manager for URS Corporation the world’s largest engineering and infrastructure services provider. He was responsible for the development of DoD Enhanced Use Leasing projects for the Army and also managed several Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC 2005) planning and programming studies for assets valued at over $5 billion. Mr. Murphy has worked with numerous government and military agencies including the Department of State Department of Homeland Security the U.S. Air Force U.S. Navy Department of the Interior and others in the development of a variety of R&D campus office industrial and mixed-use project types including Army and Air Force projects across Europe and the Pacific. Mr. Murphy did graduate studies in Urban and Environmental Planning at the University of Virginia and holds a B.S. degree from the West Virginia University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and the American Planning Association and is an active member in the Association of Defense Communities. |
