PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Mr. McLaughlin is an attorney and engineer who began his career with SCS as a summer engineering intern in 1973. He is a Senior Vice President for the firm's Environmental Services Practice, overseeing the technical and business development for the firm's environmental due diligence, environmental management, voluntary remediation, storage tank, hazardous substances and hazardous waste practice.
Mr. McLaughlin provides SCS with special expertise in environmental regulatory systems. He is particularly familiar with the regulatory frameworks established under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Hazardous and Solid Waste Amendments of 1984 (HSWA), the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (Superfund), and the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA). He assists clients throughout the United States in complying with these and other environmental laws. He has overseen the development of site-specific quality assurance/quality control plans, and health and safety plans for environmental site assessment, RCRA and CERCLA projects, and has worked on more than 30 sites listed on the National Priorities List. |
