As Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Michael Garcia oversees all corporate finance interests as well as shouldering the responsibility of supervising Omni Hotels’ development efforts. In Garcia’s previous role as Senior Vice President of Financial Services, he was responsible for accounting and reporting, treasury, purchasing, risk management and capital project accounting. Garcia joined Omni Hotels Management Corporation in 1996 as Controller of Corporate Accounting and assisted in TRT Holdings' corporate transition of Omni Hotels.
Prior to joining Omni Hotels, Garcia was employed by La Quinta Inns Inc. as their Assistant Controller. Prior to La Quinta, Garcia was an audit manager for KPMG Peat Marwick.
Garcia is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the AICPA and the Texas Chapter of CPAs. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. |
