Mike Feinberg is Senior Vice President of the Technology Ventures Group at EMC Corporation. With 2005 revenues of $9.7 billion and more than 27 000 employees worldwide EMC is the world leader in products services and solutions for information management and storage that help organizations extract the maximum value from their information at the lowest total cost at every point in the information lifecycle.
Feinberg leads the Technology Ventures Group which was formed in May 2006 to address emerging customer and technology trends and to supplement EMC's track record of acquiring disruptive technology with even more leverage from the technology EMC develops internally. Feinberg's organization works closely with EMC's Office of Technology to deliver prototype products and solutions that have the potential to revolutionize existing IT paradigms. In addition he is responsible for driving EMC's global development center strategy which includes orchestrating the efforts of the company's development centers in India and China. Feinberg reports to Mark Lewis Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer and is based at EMC headquarters in Hopkinton Massachusetts.
Prior to joining EMC in May 2006 Feinberg served as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for HP Storage where he was responsible for strategy and technical direction. Before that he was Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of StorageApps a network-based storage virtualization company. Previously he held strategic roles for Morgan Stanley IT including Vice President for Infrastructure Engineering. Feinberg started his career at IBM and Data General. He holds a BS in Math and Computer Science from SUNY Binghamton and a Masters of Engineering in Computer Science from Cornell University. |
