Begins seventh season as Angels hitting coach...Received contract extension through the 2007 season, Nov. 28, 2005...Under his tutelage, 2004 Angels finished tied for highest club batting average in American League (.282, with Boston) and highest in club history (also 1979 and 2002)...Angels hitters also struck out fewest times in A.L.
