Mr. Stadler was the former Executive Director of the Rochester Institute of Technology's (RIT) Center for Entrepreneurship and its Technology Incubator - Venture Creations. Prior to RIT he was the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Vanderbilt University Technology Company (VUTC) and Managing Partner of Vanderbil's Chancellor Fund. The Chancellor Fund is an early-stage, venture capital fund. The RIT & VUTC programs provide faculty inventors/entrepreneurs with "New Enterprise" development services. Between 2000 and 2003, the Chancellor Fund invested approximately $10M in 16 new start-ups, these portfolio companies have subsequently raised an additional $120M from other 3rd party investors, and the Fund's investment portfolio is presently valued by Vanderbilt at over $60M with four liquidity event s of $40M completed. Prior to Vanderbilt and RIT, Mr. Stadler was the Founder, Chairman, CEO, and President of Competitive Technologies, Inc. (AmEx: CTT), a public company he founded in 1991. CTT is involved in the commercialization of Orphan Technologies' developed by corporations, universities and federal laboratories. Under his leadership, CTT was selected as one of the Top 50 fastest growing companies in Connecticut in both 1997 and 1998. Mr. Stadler has been involved in establishing and financing more than 60 university-affiliated companies and the negotiation of over 750 licenses and/or joint venture agreements in his thirty-five year business career. Mr. Stadler has also helped universities address their technology transfer needs/opportunities in his role as the Executive Vice President and COO of Research Corporation Technologies (the world's oldest and largest technology transfer organization). He is a Founder and Chairman of ConduIT Corporation, J International Partners (China), International Diagnostic & Treatment Centers, The Heart Institute of the Caribbean and Sage Capital. Mr. Stadler holds a B.S. in biology and chemistry and an M.S. in physics from John Carroll University. He is also a Registered Patent Agent. |
