Ms. Uddin has extensive experience analyzing complex insurance claims and coverage programs related to asbestos, pollution, and human health (APH) exposures. She has developed sophisticated protocols and processes for allocation and damages estimation models used in settlement negotiations for insurance coverage disputes. In addition, Michelle has provided strategic advice as well as innovative risk financing solutions to address clients' APH exposures. She has prepared and presented claims to Equitas and dozens of US carriers in the context of settlement negotiations and mediation sessions that collectively have resulted in billions of dollars in recoveries.
Michelle's clients include highly respected law firms as well as leading public and private corporations, and many Fortune® 100 companies in a diverse range of industries, including oil and gas, chemical, mining, transportation and manufacturing.
Prior to founding The Claro Group, Michelle's professional experience included serving as a principal in the Insurance Claims Consulting practice of LECG, LLC. Prior to joining LECG in 2002, Michelle worked for Arthur Andersen for more than nine years in various capacities, including senior manager in the Financial Advisory Services practice. In that practice, Michelle provided economic, financial and statistical consulting with an emphasis on damages cost analysis, asset monetization, and negotiation strategies.
Michelle received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business with a concentration in Finance, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. |
