Michelle is a principal and consulting actuary in the Tampa office of Milliman. She joined the firm in 1999.
Experience
While working at Milliman, Michelle has worked on a wide range of projects, including pricing and valuation for long-term care, critical illness, disability income, major medical, and supplemental health insurance; disease management; small group pricing and rating; and financial modeling. She has developed a reputation for her strong project management skills and frequently works on-site at the client's office.
Before joining Milliman, Michelle worked for GE Capital, where she supervised development of health insurance products. Her experience includes pricing, rate filing, and reserving. In addition, she has been very involved in regulatory issues, such as pricing mandated benefits, monitoring compliance, and rate auditing. She has worked closely with non-actuaries in projects to improve persistency, identify new markets, and consolidate product offerings. Michelle has worked with a full range of health products, including major medical, Medicare supplement, long-term care, critical illness, cancer, accident, hospital, surgical, and disability income.
