D. Michelle Douglas is an attorney with Kalbian Hagerty. She has ten years of experience in personal injury litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. She has practiced in California, Arizona and here in the Washington, DC area. She presently represents domestic and foreign clients pursuing litigation before U.S. courts and in international arbitrations in personal injury cases, commercial and contract disputes, and cases involving foreign governments and their agencies. Ms. Douglas also has prior experience in real estate litigation, insurance bad faith and probate litigation.
Ms. Douglas was awarded her Juris Doctorate from Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, D.C. in 1997 (cum laude), where she also served as Editor-in-Chief of The Human Rights Brief. She earned her Master's Degree in Law & International Affairs from American University, and her Bachelor's Degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
Ms. Douglas is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Virginia, California, Arizona (inactive status), and North Carolina. She also is admitted to numerous U.S. District Courts as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second, Ninth and D.C. Circuits. |
