Ms. Michele C. Wong Michele Wong is the President and CEO of Synergex International Corporation, a Northern California-based software company. She joined Synergex in 1982 as a systems programmer, and then rapidly progressed through the positions of Project Leader and Vice President of Software Development. She was promoted to Executive Vice President in 1984, was named President in 1990, and was appointed CEO in 1996. Under her leadership, Synergex has grown from a 20-employeee, one-product firm into an internationally recognized software manufacturer with a wide range of products installed in all 50 U.S. states and more than 80 nations. She has been named one of the Best and Brightest in Sacramento by Sacramento Magazine.
In addition to her duties at Synergex, Ms. Wong is President of the Sacramento Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Board of Trustees (and Chair for the Capital Area Light the Night events), a member of the Executive Committee of the American Electronics Association Sacramento Council, and Secretary of the Board of Directors of KVIE Channel 6 Public Television. She is also a member of the Fair Oaks Community Planning Advisory Council, the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, the Board of Directors of MetroPAC, the United Way’s Women in Philanthropy, and the University of California-Davis External Research Advisory Board. She is a fellow of the American Leadership Forum-Mountain Valley Chapter. In 2000, she received the Woman of the Year Award as the Sacramento Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s top fundraiser.
Ms. Wong is a graduate of the University of California at Davis, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. |
