Mr. Thomas joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in May of 2007. Before joining Environmental Power Company, Mr. Thomas served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Maine Yankee Atomic Power Co., Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Co. and Yankee Atomic Electric Company. In addition to overseeing more than $250 million of investment assets, Mr. Thomas led the financial areas of those companies through the substantial changes necessary to successfully carryout the decommissioning programs associated with the permanent shutdown of their nuclear power plants, including the complete restructuring of Maine Yankee’s $130 million of debt financing. As CFO, he oversaw construction budgets exceeding $800 million.
Prior to joining Maine Yankee in 1991, and Connecticut Yankee and Yankee Atomic in 2004, Mr. Thomas served as Director of Treasury Operations at Central Maine Power (CMP) where he worked on the planning and execution of over $500 million of bank, fixed income, and equity financings for CMP and project related subsidiaries. Mr. Thomas holds an AB degree from Bowdoin College and an MBA degree from the University of Southern Maine. Mr. Thomas is a director of Martin’s Point Healthcare and has also served as a director of the consolidated Stone and Webster bankruptcy estate. |
