Dr. Michael S. Tempesta has been involved in both academic andcorporate research and developments in the natural product area since 1978. He has published extensively (>100 papers/abstracts/book chapters, patents/patent applications) and lectured throughout the world on the discovery and development of natural products useful in pharmaceutical, veterinary, food, cosmetic and dietary supplement/herbal areas. Dr. Tempesta was a co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Shaman Pharmaceuticals, as well as the Chief Scientific Officer of Larex, Inc, and Senior Vice President at Pharmaprint, and is currently President of NatProd Consulting Services, and the Managing Partner in Phenolics, LLC. Dr. Tempesta is also an officer of the non-profit organization IOCD (International Organization for Chemistry in Development), currently acting as Treasurer. |
