Having started his construction career over thirty-five years ago, Michael is thoroughly versed in numerous aspects of commercial and industrial construction. As a seasoned construction administrator, his skills have been acquired through a history of over 700 projects. Majoring in mathematics, he received a BS degree in 1972, with minors in computer sciences, physics and geology. After achieving his degree, Michael re-entered his family’s construction business and moved into office management. In the early ‘80’s, Michael successfully developed and operated several businesses that specialized in construction services. In 1990, Michael joint ventured a general contracting firm that in 6 years grew into three regional offices, spreading throughout the nation’s south central zone. Specializing in public works projects and the hard bid markets, the firm flourished until its breakup in 1996. Leveraging his construction expertise, he co-joined with New England Business Consultants, and Dallas area investment groups to design, implement and administer construction programs to develop retail strip malls, office complexes and area banks. Michael then joined the Design and Construction Department of United Systems Integrators, a national real estate management firm, headquartered in Stamford, CT. As Director of Construction Services for the South East, Central and Midwest, he lead project management teams as they provided regional construction services for such Fortune 500 companies as Olsten, Carrier, Pratt and Whitney, Sikorsky, Lucent Technologies, and General Electric (Credit Card Division). In January of 1999, Michael was called on, to provide consultation services to Walt Disney/ABC when the new Times Square (Good Morning America) production studio in Manhattan was critically behind schedule, as part of the Emergency Management Team.During the later half of his tenure with United Systems Integrators, Michael was advanced to the position of National Director of Design and Construction for Bridgestone/Firestone (USA), the world’s largest rubber manufacturer. In this capacity, he co-authored, designed and implemented Bridgestone/Firestone’s national renovation program (Renovation 2000). Michael then directed all facets of the program’s design and construction, from field surveys and plans development to construction bid and build. The national program covers a 5 year period and involves over 1700 retail tire and service centers, 250 of which were completed, as schedule, in 2000. The design and construction department that Michael helped to evolve at USI is now rated in the nation’s top 200.Michael brings to Mohr Partners, his senior depth of the commercial construction experience, managerial skills, and in-depth knowledge of both Program and Project Management.
