Michael J. Sieman is a Senior Vice President / Senior Director in the Chicago office. Mr. Sieman joined NorthMarq Capital in January 2007 through NorthMarq's acquisition of Baird & Warner Real Estate Capital where he was a Principal. He has arranged over $500 million in equity and debt financing since becoming a producer in October of 2002. Notable recent financings include the arrangement of $36.6 million of institutional joint venture equity for the development of Sherman Plaza - a $190 million lifestyle center and condominium high-rise located in downtown Evanston, Illinois.
Prior to becoming a mortgage banker, Mr. Sieman was Senior Underwriter for Fremont Investment & Loan in the Chicago office where he structured non-recourse construction, bridge and mini-perm debt for ground-up development as well as repositioning opportunities. His participation in financing transactions included the construction/mini-perm financing of The Glen Town Center which included the largest TIF award to date in the history of Illinois.
Mr. Sieman is a graduated of the Columbia University Masters Program in Real Estate Development where he has served as a guest speaker on multiple occasions. His undergraduate degree is in Chemistry (also from Columbia) and he has studied at Northwestern, Harvard and Pomona College, where he pitched for the varsity baseball team. He is a licensed sales person in the State of Illinois and a member of the ULI, ICSC and HOG. |
