Description of Practice:
Michael is an associate in the Real Estate Department of the Los Angeles office where he provides critical support in a variety of practice areas, including the drafting and negotiation, on behalf of owners and developers, of architect's, engineering, general contractor and other agreements related to the construction development process; the drafting and negotiation, on behalf of landlords, of office, industrial and retail leases; and the drafting and negotiation, on behalf of both sellers and purchasers, of purchase and sale agreements along with the performance of certain due diligence review ancillary to the acquisition process.
Educational History:
Michael received his bachelor's degree from Santa Clara University in 2001 in Political Science, graduating cum laude and with honors. Prior to attending law school, Michael worked as an associate in the tax department of Arthur Andersen where he worked on a variety of tax compliance matters. Michael received his doctorate of jurisprudence from Loyola Law School in 2006, where he graduated cum laude and in the top 12 of his class. Michael is a member of the Order of the Coif and Saint Thomas More Honor Society.
Michael is an active member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and has been a guest lecturer on construction law topics as part of USC's Master's in Real Estate Development program. |
