Michael is one of the original founders of ReachLocal and serves as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Product Officer. Michael has over 15 years of business strategy, product development, and marketing experience and has played a senior executive role at three successful Internet start-ups. Most recently, Michael served as Vice President Product Development at WorldWinner, Inc., the leading provider of prize-based tournaments in online games of skill. Before that, Michael served as a Senior Manager in Deloitte Consultings Media & Entertainment industry practice. Prior to Deloitte Consulting, Michael served as Senior Vice President of Strategy & Product Development for AdStar.com. At AdStar.com, Michael was responsible for managing a team of engineers and product/content developers to develop the Internets leading exchange for the buying and selling of classified advertising, a $20 billion industry. Prior to his work at AdStar.com, Michael successfully started up, managed, and sold a leading Internet classified publishing company, Recycler.com (purchased by Times Mirror, Inc.). Prior to Recycler.com, Michael worked as a Director of Strategic Development at Times Mirror, Inc., where he was responsible for defining the role of new media as part of Times Mirrors overall corporate strategy. Michael graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College with a B.A. in literature in 1988. Michael was awarded an ITT Fellowship for post-graduate study in Spain in 1988/1989. |
