As Chief Financial Officer, Johnston brings two decades of experience in asset and risk management, corporate and public finance and insurance to Orbian and its clients. In his current position, he is responsible for the further expansion of Orbian's financial conduit.
Before joining Orbian, Johnston was with GE Capital Markets Services as Managing Director and Conduit Manager, managing liquidity and risk management, operations, investor and rating agency relations, as well as asset and liability management for their asset backed commercial paper conduits.
Johnston also served as Product Manager for Alternative Risk Transfer Products and Senior Risk Manager for GE's Financial Guarantee Insurance Company unit.
Prior to GE, Johnston was a First Vice President/Director of Municipal Research for PaineWebber, Inc., and an Associate Director/Founding Partner of Sandler O'Neill and Partners Municipal Securities Group.
Johnston also held a number of finance-related positions with Kidder, Peabody and Company, Moody's Investor's Service, and the City of New York. |
