Mitch Jansen has spent more than 20 years working in the photonics industry. Most recently, he was vice president of engineering at Coherent, Inc., where he brought numerous high-power laser diode products to volume manufacturing, and spearheaded Aluminum-free technology. Prior, he was senior vice president and general manager of Bandwidth9, where he developed the company’s core tunable laser and locker technologies and rolled out its tunable transmitters. Mitch was co-founder and vice president of engineering at APT, a commercial high-power diode laser startup, which became a Uniphase business unit. He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has delivered over 140 technical articles and presentations on semiconductor laser diodes, solid-state lasers and solar cells, and holds 16 patents. |
