Michael Field brings over 25 years of management, legal and financial experience to STI. Mr. Field joined the company in January 2004.
Prior to STI, from 2002 until 2004, Mr. Field was Vice President and General Counsel of HPL Technologies, Inc., an enterprise software company in the semiconductor sector. From 1998 to 2002, he served as co-founder, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, and Director of domainLogix Corporation, which focused on software services and product solutions in the semiconductor and consumer electronics industry. Before that, from 1996 to 1998, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at Consilium, Inc., an enterprise software company focused on the semiconductor and pharmaceutical sectors. From 1992 to 1996, he held a number of executive management positions at First Pacific Networks, Inc. a cable telephony systems company, including Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Planning, Chief Legal Officer, and Chief Administrative Officer. From 1990 to 1992, Mr. Field was Vice President of Operations at Conserv Engineering. Before this position, from 1974 to 1990, he was a partner in several boutique Silicon Valley law firms.
Mr. Field earned a B.A. degree in psychology from San Jose State University and a J.D. degree from Santa Clara University School of Law. Mr. Field is a licensed attorney in California and a member of the adjunct staff of Golden Gate University, School of Economics and Finance.
