Michael Eison is an experienced drug developer and a seasoned veteran of regulatory affairs. He spent the first 15 years of his career in central nervous system (CNS) drug discovery/science management and the subsequent 11 years in regulatory affairs formulating regulatory strategies that anticipate the needs of the marketplace as well as those of worldwide health authorities. Most recently, he was vice president of research and development for the Palo Alto site of Stiefel Laboratories, but the majority of his career was with the Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. He joined them as a scientist in 1981 and ultimately became the director of CNS drug discovery before changing career direction and becoming a director in regulatory affairs. He joined InterMune in 2002 as senior director regulatory affairs and Connetics in 2005 as vice president of regulatory affairs. Michael earned his bachelor's degree in psychology in 1975 at the State University of New York at Buffalo and was awarded his doctorate in physiological psychology/psychopharmacology from UCLA in 1980
