Under Dr. Michael Major’s leadership, CML has become the premier global supplier of API development and manufacturing services. He has assembled a team of similarly-minded managers, sharing the same vision on how the operation should perform and grow.Prior to CML he founded Major Laboratories, a custom chemical company serving the pharma and biotech sectors, and in 1999 Major Labs merged with Cambridge Chemical to form what is now CML. Michael Major began his career the University of Lodz in Poland where he was a tenured professor of Organic Chemistry; the youngest to achieve this title in school history. After that he spent time as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Northwestern University, as well as receiving a Humbolt Fellowship at the University of Stuttgart, and a position as Research Associate at McMaster University in Canada. He has published over 40 papers while in academia.He recently served as President of the Wisconsin Biotech and Medical Device Association, and in 2004 won the honor of Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Life Sciences in the State of Wisconsin. |
