Mr. Michael S. Kearney is President and Chief Executive Officer of Asbury Automotive North Carolina aka Crown Automotive Company. Having joined Crown in 1990 as Chief Financial Officer he assumed the role of President and CEO in September 2000. The North Carolina based company which merged with Asbury in 1998 has 20 dealerships and 25 franchises throughout North Carolina and Virginia and about 1500 employees. During his tenure at Crown the company's revenue has grown substantially. Crown has earned the Acura Precision Team Award Volvo President's Award Honda President's Award Chrysler 5-Star Certification and Ford Blue Oval Certification and President's Award. In addition Crown has operated a successful captive finance company since 1993. Mr. Kearney received his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary and his Masters Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University .
