Michael P. Zeitfuss is vice president general manager of International Special Programs for the Defense Communications Group, reporting to the group president. GCSD develops and produces advanced communications and information systems for the Department of Defense and other government agencies and their prime contractors. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Zeitfuss was vice president general manager of Homeland Security Programs for GCSD. He was previously vice president of Technology and Strategic Management and prior to that vice president of Engineering for GCSD’s former Electronic Systems Sector which developed and produced ground-based, terrestrial, and satellite communication systems; electronic warfare simulation and evaluation systems; networks for command, control, communication, and intelligence applications; and high-technology applications for special systems. Mr. Zeitfuss joined Harris in 1976 as a senior systems engineer and went on to hold key positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, engineering management, and program management. Prior to joining Harris, Mr. Zeitfuss was project manager for Pan American World Airways, Aerospace Services Division at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. At Pan Am, Mr. Zeitfuss held positions of increasing responsibility in direct support of U.S. Government space missions. Mr. Zeitfuss holds a B.S.E.E. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and an M.B.A. from Florida State University. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, the National Defense Industrial Association, and the Security Affairs Support Association.
