Mr. Drzal is a shareholder in the Firm’s Corporate Group and serves as Chair of the Technology and Venture Capital team. He focuses his practice on and customarily acts as lead counsel in connection with financings, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, joint ventures, management buyouts, intellectual property licensing transactions and a variety of domestic and international transactions. Mr. Drzal currently serves as general counsel to a number of emerging technology companies, including medical information technology, medical device, bioinformatics, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, internet, digital signage, and high-tech research and development, manufacturing and distribution companies. He also serves as general counsel to a growing angel investor network with chapters in Charlottesville and Blacksburg, Virginia and has served on the board of directors of client companies.
