With more than 15 years of experience solving real estate challenges, Michael L. Cantor serves corporate, public sector and real estate industry clients with global, national and regional real estate portfolios in services including management consulting, portfolio management and development consulting. In addition to being a principal of Allegro Realty Advisors, Ltd., Mr. Cantor also serves as the firm's Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel and Secretary.
Prior to joining Allegro, Mr. Cantor served as a Senior Manager in the Real Estate Solutions practice of Deloitte & Touche, providing management consulting services to Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), brownfield asset recovery services to manufacturers, financial advisory services to publicly traded corporations, and economic development, site selection and development consulting services to public sector entities. Previously, Mr. Cantor served as Vice President of Cleveland Real Estate Partners, which was acquired by Deloitte in 1999. Earlier in his career, Mr. Cantor worked in a corporate real estate outsourcing firm, specializing in the utilities practice, and, prior to that, a tenant representation firm.
Mr. Cantor has served as a board member of the Ohio/Kentucky Chapter of CoreNet Global, a committee member of the Cleveland Bar Association’s Real Estate Law Institute, a member of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Environmental Law and Eminent Domain committees and has been honored by Deloitte, receiving its National Leadership in Real Estate Award. Mr. Cantor is a frequent speaker for organizations such as CoreNet Global, NAIOP, Cleveland Bar Association and Rotary Club in South Florida. He has been published in industry journals such as Urban Land, Corporate Real Estate Executive and Cleveland Bar Journal and has been frequently interviewed by business periodicals including Inside Business, Crain’s Cleveland Business, Heartland Real Estate Business, Commercial Property News and Midwest Real Estate News.
Mr. Cantor earned his J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University, with concentrations in real estate and environmental law, and is a member of the Ohio Bar. He obtained his B.S. in Business and B.A. in English from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He is also a licensed real estate broker in the State of Ohio. |
