Michael J. Monroe is executive vice president of Public Affairs and a member of the company's Executive Council. As Key's chief communications officer, he is responsible for management, financial and employee communications; corporate media relations; public relations for the company's lines-of business; and government relations. In addition, he oversees the strategic coordination of communications, working closely with Key's Investor Relations, Marketing and philanthropy units.
Mike previously served as vice president of Corporate Relations for CIGNA Corporation, where he was responsible for external and internal public relations. During his 30 year career, he also has served in communications positions with The American Express Company and AT&T Long Lines Division. Mike received a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University, graduating magna cum laude, and a master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University.
He is a member of The Phi Beta Kappa Society, The Public Relations Seminar and The Wisemen. He has chaired the Public Affairs Council of The Financial Services Roundtable and is the former chair of The Conference Board's Communications Council. |
