Michael Lennon Biography :

Michael Lennon is a senior partner and the chair and director of Kenyon & Kenyon's European Practice Group. He focuses his practice on the litigation and licensing of intellectual property rights, technology transfer transactions, and the negotiation of patent, trademark and copyright contracts and agreements.

Mr. Lennon has more than twenty-five years of experience representing multinational corporations in intellectual property lawsuits and transactions. Among other firm clients, Mr. Lennon has represented Aladdin Knowledge Systems, Ltd. and Aladdin Knowledge Systems, Inc., The Schema Group, IMI plc, Marconi plc, Boston Scientific Corporation, DaimlerChrysler AG, Mercedes-Benz USA, Inc., Robert Bosch Gmbh and Robert Bosch Corporation in patent infringement and related litigation.

Representative intellectual property litigation in which Mr. Lennon has recently been involved include:

Feuling Advanced Technologies, Inc. v. DaimlerChrysler AG et al (99-CV-374, 00-CV-1541, S.D. Cal. 2000-2003), patent infringement litigations in which Mr. Lennon obtained a judgment of lack of standing, an award of attorneys' fees and costs, and a bifurcated trial and judgment that two asserted patents were unenforceable for inequitable conduct (reported at 276 F. Supp. 2d 1054), for DaimlerChryslerAG, Mercedes-Benz USA, Inc. and their affiliated companies.

Keith Taylor v. DaimlerChrysler AG (D. Mich. 2002, 2003), a patent infringement suit in which Mr. Lennon obtained summary judgment for DaimlerChrysler AG dismissing the plaintiff's claims of patent infringement and claims of trade secret misappropriation and unjust enrichment under Michigan State law (reported at 237 F. Supp. 2d 789 and 295 F. Supp. 2d 729).

Abbey v. Mercedes-Benz of North America, Inc., patent infringement litigation in which Mr. Lennon obtained summary judgment of non-infringement for Robert Bosch Gmbh, Mercedes-Benz of North America, Inc. and a Mercedes-Benz dealership (S.D. Fl. 1999, reported at 74 F. Supp. 2d 1217 and 74 F. Supp. 2d 1221).

Mr. Lennon is the author of two treatises on the licensing of intellectual property rights, "Drafting Technology Patent License Agreements" and "Technology Transfer Guide" published by Aspen Publishers, Inc. (New York).
