Michael J. Brennan, M.D., Ph.D. has served as a director since December 1995 and was the Company’s Chairman of the Board of Directors from March 2000 through April 2001. He served as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer from December 1995 through June 2000 and as the Company’s President from December 1995 through January 1999. Since December 2003, Dr. Brennan has been a Managing Director of Coastview Capital, a venture capital firm focused solely on life science investments. From September 2000 until April 2003, Dr. Brennan was a General Partner of Oxford Biosciences Partners, a venture capital firm specializing in the financing of early stage healthcare companies. Dr. Brennan received a Ph.D. in neurobiology and an M.D. from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. |
