Mike Burgett is the President, Managing Partner, and Founder of CIO Partners, Inc. - a technology services company that specializes in Executive Search, IT Staffing and Recruitment Strategies for Fortune 1000 organizations. Founded on July 4th, 2001 - CIO Partners, through its development and utilization of the CIO RightHireSM process, continues to forge long term relationships with clients that value our approach to attracting and recruiting top candidates for their organizations. CIO Partners has received numerous accolades including Mike being named a Top 40 under 40 by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. This Up and Comers award recognized forty successful leaders in the Atlanta community who have achieved significant career success and have a strong commitment to civic and community causes. Also, CIO Partners has been named one of the Atlanta Business Chronicle's Best Companies to Work in Atlanta. Its explosive growth has also resulted in CIO Partners being named to the Inc. Magazine's 5000 list of the fastest growing, privately held, U.S.-based companies. Corporate stewardship is also a foundational value that is promoted by Mike and is evidenced in a number of programs. For example, each employee is given twelve hours of corporate time to volunteer to the charity of their choice and ten percent of corporate net profits are donated to charity. Mike began his career as a Systems Engineer with Electronic Data Systems in Detroit, Michigan, the global technology consulting company created by Ross Perot. As a technology consultant within the automotive engineering and manufacturing industry for General Motors, Mike honed his technical ability and developed a strong sense toward process and project management that defines him to this day. Mike also served as a technology executive with an 800 million dollar private Fortune 500 organization. As the Chief Information Officer for Atlanta based RTM Incorporated, Mr. Burgett led technology services from an operational perspective and was able to customize and implement a process-based approach and customer service within a corporate IT organization. Mike serves on the board of Opportunity Knocks for Youth, which provides mentorship, training and programs for Cobb County at-risk teens. He is also a member of the Mount Bethel United Methodist Church where he has previously served on its Administrative Council, and has contributed on the @Home and Global Missions Committee. He has completed two mission trips to the Gulf Coast to assist in the rebuilding and rehabilitation from Hurricane Katrina and has helped build food kitchens for the poor in Peru. He is also a member of the Young Entrepreneur's Organization (YEO), an organization comprised of business owners under the age of 40 who have created businesses with revenues larger than 1 million dollars. He has previously served as the Chairman of the National Restaurant Association Executive IT Organization and as a Board of Advisors member for Community Bank of the South. He resides in Marietta, Georgia with his wife Kim, and daughters Emily, Merrill, and Audrey. |
