E. Michael Murphy was named executive vice president franchising and general counsel for CKE Restaurants Inc. in July 2000. In addition to the overall supervision of the legal department Murphy also oversees franchising for the company’s Carl’s Jr. Hardee’s and La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill concepts.
E. Michael Murphy was named general counsel and chief administrative officer in August 2006. As CAO Murphy leads the legal human resources payroll and information technology departments as well as oversees all franchising and international endeavors.
Until his promotion Murphy had served as corporate counsel and executive vice president overseeing franchising since July of 2000 where he was charged with overall supervision of the legal department and franchising for the company’s Carl’s Jr. Hardee’s and La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill concepts.
Before joining CKE Restaurants Inc. Murphy held the position of general counsel and senior vice president with Hardee’s Food Systems Inc. a subsidiary of CKE Restaurants Inc. From 1987 to 1998 Murphy was a partner with the Stolar Partnership in St. Louis. Murphy is currently a member of the American Bar Association and the Missouri Bar Association.
Murphy received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and a law degree from Saint Louis University. |
