Michael E. McGrath was appointed to the Entrust board of directors in May 2007. McGrath is i2 president and chief executive officer and serves on the company's board of directors. McGrath brings extensive business knowledge to i2 from his background in founding a leading consulting firm and his experience in managing application software companies. He is considered an expert in product strategy product development and supply chain management. McGrath co-founded Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath (PRTM) in 1976 and served as its president and CEO until his retirement in July 2004. During the last decade PRTM grew to be one of the larger and most successful management consulting firms in the world. PRTM was acknowledged for its exceptional growth profitability and high value it added for customers and it was consistently rated as one of the top three consulting firms for which to work. Since its founding PRTM was noted for its exceptional focus on client results demonstrated by its refusal to take consulting projects where it could not deliver significant results for its clients. PRTM provides management consulting services in product development supply chain and product strategy. While at PRTM McGrath initiated the company's product development consulting practice and led the effort in refining the Product And Cycle-time Excellence® (PACE) methodology establishing it as one of the most successful and effective management models of the product development process for technology-based industries.
In 1993 McGrath created the Supply-Chain Operations Reference-model® (SCOR®) to define a standard for the supply-chain management process which is now managed as an industry standard by the Supply-Chain Council. McGrath founded IDe a leading provider of integrated software and service solutions for Development Chain Management (DCM) in June 1998 and has served as the company's chairman and product architect. He also serves on the board of trustees of a hospital college and private school and is a trustee of the McGrath Foundation which supports educational and religious institutions. Prior to founding PRTM McGrath worked at Price Waterhouse & Co. Texas Instruments and McCormack & Dodge where in 1971 he contributed to the pioneering efforts to create the packaged applications software industry.
McGrath holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and management science from Boston College and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. He is also a certified public accountant. |
