Mike Herman has been a director on Cerner Corporation’s Board of Directors since May 1995. Herman is the former president and chief operating officer for the Kauffman Foundation and is also former president of the Kansas City Royals Baseball Club. Currently, Herman is general partner of the Herman Family Trading Company. He is also a trustee at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y. He is presently a director of Santarus Inc. and Senomyx Inc.
From 1966 to 1968, he served as vice president of Laird, Inc. Investment Bankers in New York City. In 1968, Herman co-founded Dryden Co., a private investment banking firm in New York. Herman then joined Marion Labs in 1974 as vice president of finance and held positions of director, executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Herman received a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his master of business administration from the University of Chicago. |
