Michael C. Szwajkowski, age 40, is the president of the Structured Finance Business of CapitalSource Inc. (NYSE: CSE), a leading commercial lending, investment and asset management business focused on the middle market. As of June 30, 2007, CapitalSource managed an $20.1 billion portfolio of owned and managed assets.
Michael has served as president of the Structured Finance Business of CapitalSource since February 2005 and is a member of the CapitalSource Executive Management Committee. Mr. Szwajkowski served as managing director and group head of the Structured Finance Business at CapitalSource from September 2001 until assuming his current responsibilities. Prior to joining CapitalSource, from April 1999 until October 2000, Mr. Szwajkowski served as a founder and president of Clarity Holdings, Inc., a financial services holding company which owned and operated a national bank. From 1992-1999, Michael held various senior positions at Credit Suisse First Boston and Heller Financial, Inc.
Michael serves on the board of directors of the American Medical and Life Insurance Company.
Michael received his undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College and a masters of business administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. |
