Biography
Michael C. Lowder joined Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP in 1999 and is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate practice group. Mr. Lowder’s practice includes the negotiation and structuring of real estate acquisitions and dispositions, management agreements, leasing transactions, and other day-to-day operational matters pertaining to developed and income-producing properties. He has extensive experience representing both owners and tenants in the leasing of industrial, retail, and office properties, having assisted in the leasing of tens of millions of square feet of such space nationwide. Mr. Lowder has also negotiated purchase and sale agreements for more than a billion dollars of real estate assets over the course of his practice, including portfolios of office properties in New York City and a high-profile mixed-use development in the District of Columbia. In addition, he has assisted clients in the acquisition and ownership of real estate with moderate and substantial environmental contamination. Mr. Lowder’s understanding of his clients’ perspectives stems in part from his prior experience working as a financial analyst for a closely held investment firm.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Michael is an active member of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan YMCA of Fort Worth and was the Vice Chair of that organization’s 2006 annual campaign helping to raise over $785,000 for the benefit of local children and families. He continues his work for children as a member of the Young Professional Advocates of the Lena Pope Home. Michael and his wife, Kellie, share interests in travel, photography and cooking.

Represented the owner and developer of a master-planned international trade and logistics center with regard to leases and renewals for several million square feet of industrial, retail and office space
Provided legal services in connection with the acquisition, financing, and ultimate disposition of several portfolios and individual flagship office buildings in New York City
Represented a nationwide retailer in build-to-suit and direct-build leases for locations in more than 20 states
Represented a major regional freight and transportation company with acquisitions and leasing operations across the US
Assisted in the acquisition, financing, construction, leasing and ultimate disposition of an approximately 110,000 square foot mixed-use facility in Washington, D.C.
Represented investors in the purchase-leaseback of distribution facilities nationwide
Represented a client in obtaining one of the first Municipal Settings Designations in Fort Worth, Texas |
